This painting is one of a series of four that I created to showcase the tender bond between mother donkeys and their babies. I love all baby animals but I think that baby donkeys have to be some of the cutest baby animals of all!
I am also experimenting with different ways of constructing my paintings. The main canvas is a 4"x4"x1.5" gallery wrap canvas that I've attached to a larger 7"x7"x1.5" gallery wrap solid color canvas. The smaller canvas pops right out of the larger one, creating a bigger statement!
