I see coyotes roaming around my neighborhood regularly, at all hours of the day. Desert coyotes are very scrawny and rangy, quite unlike their furrier cousins who live in northern climes.
Coyotes here very non-threatening to humans, I think I managed to convey that with the expression on his face. The border color is inspired by one of the colors found in the red rocks of Sedona. The prickly pear cactus is one of my favorites cacti. I also added petroglyphs of one of the coyotes favorite meals, the rabbit.
