This is a very, very special portrait to me.  This is Dakota, he's an Airedale and he was my dog.   He passed away in 1999 and this is my tribute to him.  He came with us when we moved to Arizona from New Zealand.  The photo I used to paint him captured his cute face and also his sweet and happy personality.  We still miss him dearly, but the portrait reminds us everyday how much he meant to us, and keeps him close.
